Wienke Giezeman is initiator of The Things Network. Has 5 years experience as being a startup entrepreneur. First founding a video on demand startup and moving in the IoT space after.
Started twelve years ago as a techy in the telecommunications & internet industry and also worked as a creative in the events industry from 2008 to 2014. Now I combined these two backgrounds within one very cool job at IoT T-Mobile. To be honest, I don’t know what my job title exactly is. Few days ago I was having discussions about our product roadmap and our business accelerator strategy. The day before yesterday I was involved in some ‘how to reach our target audience’ discussions. Yesterday I was helping some amazing colleagues to become more amazing while they helped me to become a better person. Today I am exploring some new NB-IoT features with our network-heroes. Tomorrow I will host our Installfest and welcome new people in our IoT community. Two things are for sure: we are building something special and it is fun!
In my twelve years of working experience I have learned how most of the companies and people work together and operate. Lack of trust makes people forget that we are here to create solutions with value and add value in the society. Hence, it is my main goal to create an IoT ecosystem where people work together based on trust.
