Exhibition

Our exhibition is central to the TH/NGS 2025 conference. We showcase three types of projects: student projects as part of collaborations with universities, individual student/research projects, and projects from professionals (new products, start-ups, etc).

Student work

Sharing students’ work is essential to the ThingsCon yearly event. As in last year, where we had the special exhibition on Generative Things to celebrate 10 years of ThingsCon with work from students of Umea, Amsterdam UAS, and others. We also featured projects from TU Delft Interactive Environments master program, The Hague UAS Smart objects minor, and Amfi students (Amsterdam UAS).

For 2025, we again invite you to use the exhibition space to put a spotlight on interesting student work that relates to the theme of ThingsCon.

We work in close collaboration with universities and design schools, but are also open to showing individual work. It is a great opportunity for students to connect with the professional community or get feedback on work that may be still in progress.

Details

The exhibition will follow this structure:

  • Exhibition on the main day of the conference: 12 December 2025, from 11:00 till the end of the day.
  • Selection for the exhibited work is made in collaboration with our educational partners and the curating team of ThingsCon.
  • In the first timeslot for workshops (11:00-12:40), all exhibitors are invited to pitch their projects to a jury. The jury will select three projects to be presented in the plenary afternoon program, with a chance for a nice prize. More details to follow later.

Exhibiting projects from the community

We welcome new projects related to the theme of TH/NGS 2025 to exhibit at the conference. The exhibition opens at 11:00 and can be visited by all participants. All exhibitors will have the opportunity for a short intro at the plenary stage.
